Job summary

Mott, part of IDEX, seeks a Team Leader for a hands-on frontline leadership role in a high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environment in Farmington, CT. The Team Leader coordinates daily operations, develops team capability, and drives execution while promoting safety, quality, and employee ownership.

The role supports second shift (3pm-11pm) and offers an hourly wage with a 10% differential, plus full benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
5 years of manufacturing experience outside of Mott or 3 years at Mott are required.
Prior leadership or lead-level experience is required.
Practical experience with continuous improvement tools and methods is required.

Responsibilities

Analyze manufacturing and sales order data daily to identify issues, establish priorities, and assign personnel across multiple manufacturing cells.
Actively support production by producing and/or inspecting parts as needed to ensure schedule adherence and quality standards.
Collect operational data, identify manufacturing pain points, and provide feedback to Quality and Engineering; recommend and implement improvements to cost, quality, and efficiency.
Lead and execute continuous improvement projects assigned by the Value Stream Manager to achieve targeted performance outcomes.
Monitor employee performance; document and elevate performance or disciplinary concerns up to a memorandum for record, as appropriate.
Partner with Quality to drive resolution of customer complaints and corrective actions.
Model and reinforce a culture of safety, ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
