Job summary

Fidelity Investments Inc. is seeking a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to support critical data center environments in a 2nd shift role.

You will perform hands-on maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems, supervise inspections, and coordinate with vendors to meet safety, reliability, and environmental requirements. Ideal candidates will have an Electrical Trade License, EPA certification, and data center experience.

Qualifications

Electrical Trade License with 3+ years of field experience.
Universal EPA certification required.
Experience in data center or mission-critical environments desired.
Familiarity with reading blueprints and O&M manuals.
Ability to operate within an ISO-aligned environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise inspections, testing, calibration, and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems using in-house staff and vendors.
Direct third-party vendors to augment resources, ensuring cost, time, and exposure commitments are met.
Maintain infrastructure operations and control systems to prevent unauthorized access and outages.
Oversee preventive and remedial maintenance to ensure critical power, cooling, and environmental controls are met.
Document daily log entries with accuracy and timeliness.
Perform site rounds and ensure complete reporting of issues.
Escalate to Lead Engineers, Engineering Manager, and Director as appropriate.
Handle standby generators and bypass UPS during alarms per procedures.
Operate fire detection and suppression systems and follow proper safety protocols.
Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and O&M manuals; ensure safety compliance.
Maintain SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs; manage chemicals and hazardous materials safely.
Be available for overtime shift coverage and other site duties as required.
