Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer II for the 2nd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM) to ensure operational integrity and regulatory compliance of data center electrical, mechanical, fire life safety, and communications infrastructure. You will work closely with the Data Center Manager to maximize uptime and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in a mechanical/electrical position within critical facilities.
• Experience with large HVAC and electrical systems.
• Ability to pass an extensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with the site Data Center Manager on maintenance schedules.
• Manage data center to avoid unplanned outages and maximize efficiency.
• Provide physical security and day-to-day exceptional customer service.
