Job summary

Cologix, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Electrician to serve as the technical authority for electrical systems in a mission-critical data center.

You will own safe operation, maintenance, and execution of the site’s electrical infrastructure, ensuring reliable power delivery across all systems. This hands-on role requires oversight of utility power, generators, UPS, and distribution, plus vendor oversight and incident response.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrician or equivalent certification required.
• 5+ years of experience working with electrical systems in mission-critical/industrial environments.
• Deep knowledge of power systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers, and distribution.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with NEC, local codes and safety standards (LOTO, arc flash).
• Experience supporting critical operations, incident response, and maintenance execution.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical infrastructure including utility feeds, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and distribution systems.
• Install, modify, and energize AC and DC power circuits per code and site standards.
• Monitor capacity, loads, and breaker availability; identify risks and ensure safe operation.
• Lead electrical troubleshooting during incidents, outages, or abnormal conditions.
• Support lifecycle work: upgrades, expansions, and new equipment deployment.
• Provide oversight of vendor maintenance to ensure safety and standards.
• Review electrical docs: single-line diagrams, as-builts, capacity records.
• Participate in change management with MOPs for safety, redundancy, and accuracy.
• Assist audits, post-incident reviews, and pre-sales engineering with electrical SME input.
