Atlas Fibre Company in Northbrook, Illinois is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Operator for the second shift to set up and run Okuma LB3000 and LB4000 lathes. You will make offsets, perform tool changes, read engineering drawings, and inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications.

Qualifications

Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes.
Hands-on with Okuma LB3000 and LB4000 lathes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Ability to make offsets and perform tool changes.
Experience using micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges and thread gauges.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Dependable, punctual and serious about work.
Available to work second shift.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate Okuma LB3000 and LB4000 CNC lathes.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Make machine and tooling offsets as needed.
Change cutting tools when necessary.
Inspect completed parts to confirm they meet drawing requirements.
Use precision measuring and inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, drop indicators, height gauges, and thread gauges.
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the machining process.
Arrive on time and complete assigned work responsibly.
