Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Illinois is seeking a skilled CNC setup technician for the 2nd shift. You will install fixtures, load and verify CNC programs, and set tooling to launch new production runs with tight tolerances.

Interpret blueprints and inspection criteria, perform first-article and in-process measurements with micrometers, calipers, and gauges, and troubleshoot machining and setup challenges to minimize downtime and sustain quality.

Qualifications

Proven CNC setup experience in a precision machining environment.
Background setting up CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis equipment.
Read blueprints and engineering drawings with confidence.
Tight tolerances, tooling selection, offsets, feeds, and speeds.
Fluent with precision metrology and inspection tools.
Mechanically adept with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Install fixtures, load or verify CNC programs, and set tooling to launch new production runs.
Execute tool changes and offsets; fine-tune feeds, speeds, and processes to maintain accuracy.
Interpret blueprints and inspection criteria to ensure features are correct.
Perform first-article and in-process inspections using micrometers and gauges.
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup challenges to reduce downtime.
Support machine operators and document setups accurately.
