Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Production Supervisor for the second shift in Grand Rapids, MI. You will lead a Team Leader and about 25 employees in the paint operations, focusing on safety, quality, and delivery within a high-volume, unionized automotive manufacturing setting.

You will drive performance, coach staff, and coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to minimize downtime and defects while ensuring adherence to standardized work and shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience in unionized manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership for second-shift paint operations.
• Lead one Team Leader and ~25 employees across multiple functions.
• Assign labor and resources to meet daily production requirements.
• Monitor performance, quality, scrap, downtime, and material usage; take corrective action.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with procedures and PPE.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to resolve defects.
• Support troubleshooting of automated paint line and related equipment.
• Ensure materials are staged and controlled for uninterrupted operations.
• Conduct shift handovers and communicate priorities.
• Train and develop employees and enforce workplace policies.
• Complete shift records and drive continuous improvement via Lean, 5S, root-cause.
