Job summary

Veritiv in Niles, IL is seeking a 2nd Pressperson to support lead operators in the press room. You will assist with make-ready, operate presses per written instructions, and verify stock and ink against tickets.

You will follow SOPs, perform quality pull sheets, maintain press records, and participate in routine press maintenance. The role requires ability to work nights, weekends, and vacations as needed, with a focus on safe, accurate production and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years’ experience as a Second Press Operator.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and specifications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and vacations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pressperson with press make ready and operate press per written instructions.
• Read and follow job tickets for stock and color specs; verify stock and ink match specs.
• Perform folder setups, maintain press register and color.
• Execute quality pull sheets, pull samples, ensure production meets customer specs and deadlines.
• Follow safety policies and assist in routine press maintenance with team.
• Adapt to fast-paced production and support coverage as required.
