Job summary

Veritiv Corporation is seeking an Assistant Press Operator to support the press room in Chicago. You will assist with make-readies, operate the press per written instructions, and help ensure ink and stock meet job specifications while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires the ability to read tickets, perform quality checks, and collaborate with a team to meet customer deadlines. Experience in fast-paced environments and flexibility for night/weekend shifts are desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience as a Second Press Operator.
• Ability to read and understand job tickets and verify stock and ink match specs.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead operators in the press room and with make readies.
• Operate press according to written instructions and follow SOPs.
• Perform quality pull sheet procedures and ensure customer specs are met.
• Assist in press maintenance with the team and follow safety policies.
