Job summary

MALDEF is seeking a Regional Counsel to lead the Seattle office. This dynamic role involves overseeing civil rights litigation, managing staff, and developing advocacy strategies for the Latino community.

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor, at least five years in civil rights law, and superb communication skills. The role offers a competitive salary of $105,500 – $131,300+ and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in civil rights and public interest law.
• 3 years of litigation experience in complex or class action cases.
• 1 year of supervisory experience over legal and administrative staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the Seattle office.
• Determine litigation and public policy priorities.
• Initiate and conduct litigation for civil rights cases.
• Supervise and train regional office staff.
• Develop ties with other organizations for advocacy.
