Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. seeks an Of Counsel attorney in its Seattle office with a focus on employment and labor law.

The candidate will defend and litigate a broad range of employment matters, advise employers, and represent them in court, arbitration, and mediations, including class/collective actions. The ideal candidate has a JD, 10+ years of employment litigation experience, and strong leadership with supervisory experience, plus a solid grasp of agency procedures.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 10+ years of experience in employment litigation, with significant experience managing and running litigation cases as first chair.
• Current Washington bar admission in good standing.
• Supervisory experience over associates and paralegals (delegating assignments and providing feedback).
• In-depth understanding of current state and federal agency procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and project-management skills.
• Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges.
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
• Represent employers in court, arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations in employment matters, including class/collective actions and lawsuits concerning discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage‑and‑hour, contract, employment tort, and non‑compete cases.
• Class action experience preferred but not required.
