Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in transportation or logistics, supervisory preferred.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with fleet management software and GPS tracking is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the transportation department, ensuring vehicles are in good condition and drivers follow safety protocols.
• Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods, managing schedules and routes to maximize productivity.
• Monitor fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance, ordering parts and scheduling repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of vehicles and ensure drivers are trained and certified.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations, implementing necessary changes to operations.
• Work closely with the dispatch team to ensure shipments are processed and delivered on schedule.
