Job summary

Peak Landscape, Inc. in Seattle seeks a Lead Fleet Mechanic to oversee maintenance, safety, and compliance of the company’s fleet across the South Seattle branch. This full-time role requires coordinating with a team to keep vehicles and equipment reliable for commercial landscape projects.

You will manage records, implement tracking software, and collaborate with vendors to minimize downtime while driving safety and efficiency throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience as a vehicle, diesel, and/or fleet maintenance technician.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or shop management role, demonstrating the ability to run daily shop operations efficiently.
• Industry certifications: ASE certifications or similar credentials.
• Bilingual in English & Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of company vehicles, trailers, and large equipment at the South Seattle branch.
• Maintain shop and yard organization, cleanliness, and safety.
• Keep accurate records of fleet inventory, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
• Use existing software systems for tracking fleet activity and scheduling.
• Coordinate with supervisors to minimize vehicle downtime and manage repairs.
• Communicate timelines and expectations to production teams for repairs.
• Ensure all vehicles/equipment are safe, clean, and regulation-compliant.
• Collaborate with vendors for parts and services and drive a culture of safety and efficiency.
