Job summary

Slate is seeking a process engineer for seats production in Warsaw, IN to analyze, design and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality and cost performance. You will work with manufacturing, quality, supply chain and automation teams to drive data-based improvements and support new product launches.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in automotive manufacturing with lean/six sigma experience, and strong problem-solving, communication and project leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 12+ years automotive manufacturing experience.
• Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma experience.
• Automotive OEM experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing and implement lean principles.
• Design layouts, optimize material flow and space utilization.
• Plan manpower, machines and tooling for programs and launches.
• Support capital investments and monitor KPIs like OEE and scrap rates.
• Participate in DFMA reviews and prepare process documentation.
• Ensure quality and safety integration in process design.
