Job summary

Slate Auto LLC in Indiana seeks a hands-on Plant Vehicle Engineer, Seat Complete & Restraints to support vehicle assembly, launch readiness, production quality, and continuous improvement for seat assemblies and restraint components.

You will serve as the engineering link between the plant and Design & Release, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Suppliers, and Service to protect product intent, resolve issues, and improve build quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field.
5+ years automotive engineering, manufacturing engineering, launch, or related experience.
Experience supporting vehicle development and launch through production ramp.

Responsibilities

Support launch and ongoing production of Seat Complete and Restraints systems in a vehicle assembly plant environment.
Act as technical lead for plant issues related to seat assemblies, belts, airbags, sensors, and vehicle integration.
Protect design intent, regulatory requirements, safety-critical specs, and quality in production.
Lead or support root cause analysis, containment, and permanent corrective actions.
Collaborate with Design & Release, Manufacturing, Quality, Suppliers, and Service to resolve plant concerns.
