Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor to prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, conducting in-depth client interviews and offering clear recommendations. You will nurture year-round client relationships, identify tax savings opportunities, and promote Block Advisors products and services.

This in-person role emphasizes empathetic, consultative service and collaboration within a supportive team, backed by industry training and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, incl. tax planning and audit support.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.
