Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts at Hidden Key in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an enthusiastic server to provide exemplary service in line with Omni standards and to create a memorable experience for guests.

You will greet guests, set tables, suggest menu items, coordinate with the kitchen on dietary needs, and handle MICROS transactions with accurate cash handling, ensuring satisfaction throughout the guest experience. Weekend/holiday availability required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year serving experience.
• Must acquire TIPS and ServSafe certifications.
• Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Clear English communication with guests, management and co-workers.
• Ability to input information into MICROS accurately.
• Handle stress with a calm, welcoming demeanor.
• Ability to work cohesively with coworkers across departments.
• Prioritize guest requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and follow Omni All-In standards.
• Set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Suggestively sell items and answer questions on food and beverage menus.
• Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements and dietary needs.
• Record transactions in MICROS and manage cash handling.
• Ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage.
• Present accurate checks and process payments.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Station setup and breakdown/side-work.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
• Be pleasant, greet guests, and use surnames when obtained.
