Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is seeking a courteous Server to deliver exceptional guest experiences at the Tide Coastal Kitchen, a refined poolside venue on the 10th floor. You will greet guests, present menus, and ensure a memorable dining experience while maintaining high standards of service and teamwork.

With at least one year of serving experience and knowledge of wine and beverages, you will contribute to a smooth service flow, manage orders in MICROS, and handle payments accurately.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year serving experience.
• Must acquire TIPS and ServSafe certifications.
• Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines.
• Ability to input information into MICROS accurately.
• Clear and pleasant written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Omni rules, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Greet guests by utilizing the All-In impression standards set forth by Omni.
• Set tables according to type of event and service standards as directed by leadership.
• Suggestively sell items and answer questions/offer suggestions on both food and beverage menu selections.
• Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests.
• Record transaction in MICROS system in a timely manner.
• Adhere to cash handling standards.
• Ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage.
• Present accurate check to guest and process payment.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by leadership.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
