Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Loader Operator at our Bladensburg, MD location to safely load, move and stockpile rock and aggregate materials. You will operate front-end loaders, perform equipment inspections, and coordinate with truck drivers and plant operators to meet daily production goals.

The role requires 3+ years of loader experience in quarry or construction, outdoor work in varying weather, and a commitment to health, safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on front-end loader experience in quarry/aggregate.
• Experience operating front-end loaders handling aggregate materials.
• Ability to perform daily equipment inspections.
• Strong stockpile management and material separation understanding.
• Clear communication with truck drivers, plant operators, and supervisors.
• Dependability and a strong work ethic.
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders safely and efficiently to load, transport, and stockpile aggregate materials.
• Load trucks, feeders, hoppers, and conveyors with sand, gravel, stone, and other materials.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and identify mechanical or safety issues before operation.
• Maintain proper stockpile locations, material separation, and safe working areas.
• Operate equipment according to production schedules and supervisor instructions.
• Monitor material quality and prevent contamination between different aggregate products.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including greasing, cleaning, and fluid checks.
• Communicate effectively with truck drivers, plant operators, and site supervisors.
• Follow all company safety procedures, traffic rules, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while meeting production, safety, and equipment-efficiency goals.
• Perform general labor, housekeeping, cleanup, and other site duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies.
