Job summary

Amrize is hiring a Loader Operator at our Bladensburg, MD location to safely operate front-end loaders and support rock and aggregate loading operations. You will work with truck drivers, plant operators and supervisors to meet production goals while following safety protocols.

The role requires 3+ years of loader experience in mining or construction, strong communication skills, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on front-end loader experience in quarry, aggregate, mining or heavy construction.
• Experience loading trucks and handling aggregate materials.
• Ability to perform daily equipment inspections.
• Good stockpile management and material separation.
• Clear communication with truck drivers, plant operators and supervisors.
• Dependability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to follow company procedures and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders safely and efficiently to load, transport, and stockpile aggregate materials.
• Load trucks, feeders, hoppers, and conveyors with sand, gravel, stone, and other materials.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and identify mechanical or safety issues.
• Maintain proper stockpile locations, material separation, and safe working areas.
• Operate equipment according to production schedules and supervisor instructions.
• Monitor material quality and prevent contamination between different aggregate products.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including greasing, cleaning, and fluid checks.
• Communicate effectively with truck drivers, plant operators, and site supervisors.
• Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while meeting production and safety goals.
• Perform general labor, housekeeping, cleanup, and other site duties as assigned.
