Job summary

Amrize is hiring a Loader Operator at our Bladensburg, MD location to safely load, move, and stockpile rock and aggregate materials with heavy equipment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of loader experience in quarry or heavy construction, capable of daily inspections, and clear communication with truck drivers and site supervisors. This role requires outdoor work in varying weather and strict safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on front-end loader experience in quarry, aggregate, mining or heavy construction environment.
• Experience loading trucks and handling aggregate materials efficiently.
• Ability to perform daily equipment inspections and identify mechanical issues.
• Ability to communicate clearly with truck drivers, plant operators, and supervisors.
• Willingness to follow company procedures and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders safely and efficiently to load, transport, and stockpile aggregate materials.
• Load trucks, feeders, hoppers, and conveyors with sand, gravel, stone, and other materials.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and identify mechanical or safety issues before operation.
• Maintain proper stockpile locations, material separation, and safe working areas.
• Operate equipment according to production schedules and supervisor instructions.
• Monitor material quality and prevent contamination between different aggregate products.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including greasing, cleaning, and fluid checks.
• Communicate effectively with truck drivers, plant operators, and site supervisors.
• Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while meeting production, safety, and equipment-efficiency goals.
• Perform general labor, housekeeping, cleanup, and other site duties as assigned.
