Responsibilities

• Weld or tack weld pieces using spot, electric, or gas welding.
• Unite pipes from torch to oxygen/fuel gas tanks and operate related valves.
• Preheat and prepare pieces for welding; adjust flame temperature and flow.
• Inspect welded joints and verify dimensions meet specifications.
• Coordinate with crane operator for lifting large parts.
• Use cutting equipment to dismount metal assemblies or scrap as needed.
