• Adjusts flame by controlling gas and air flow to reach required temperature and color.
• Preheats work pieces for welding prep.
• Inspects welds for strength and conformity to specifications.
• Coordinates with crane operator to lift large pieces.
• Cuts metal with flame-cutting torch or plasma-arc equipment when needed.
• Positions and secures pieces using hoists and clamps.
