Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Ability to join metal parts as specified by layouts, blueprints, or work orders using heat or arc welding equipment.
• Experience reading layouts or blueprints and following welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Weld or tack weld pieces using spot, electric, or gas welding equipment.
• Prepare and preheat work pieces for welding or curving with a torch.
• Ensure welds meet specifications by checking temperature, size, and color of flame and using straightedge or template for measurements.
• Coordinate with crane operators and use hoists or cranes to position pieces for welding.
• Inspect and prepare metal pieces, disassemble textures, and perform other duties as assigned.
