Job summary

Spoleto Festival USA is seeking a Visitor Experience Coordinator to oversee the guest-facing operations of the 2027 Festival in Charleston, SC. This seasonal, full-time role coordinates recruitment, training, and scheduling for 250+ ushers and House Managers to ensure welcoming venues and smooth performances.

You’ll manage volunteer records, cover shifts as needed, and collaborate with Box Office & Visitor Experience staff to deliver exceptional hospitality.

Qualifications

• Front of house, guest services, venue operations, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience recruiting, training, and coaching volunteers or seasonal staff with warmth and professionalism.
• Strong scheduling and record-keeping skills; familiarity with volunteer management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set the tone for exceptional hospitality and ensure staff/volunteers have tools and information.
• Coordinate recruitment/training for seasonal House Managers and 250+ ushers on guest service, safety, emergency response, accessibility.
