Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to serve clients in a local tax office.

You will prepare complete returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to understand their financial situation, and deliver personalized recommendations with tax-saving opportunities. You will provide IRS support, notices, and audit guidance as needed, while collaborating with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• At least 1 year of tax preparation or related experience including individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing advisory role.
• Ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements.
• Minimum education of High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses with complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial scenarios and implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant HR Block products.
• Provide IRS support, notices, and audit guidance as needed.
