Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to assess tax situations, and deliver personalized guidance.

In-person at a local H&R Block tax office, you’ll build lasting client relationships and identify savings opportunities while leveraging industry-leading training and technology. You will contribute to a collaborative, client-focused office, providing support on notices and audits as needed,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required
• Familiarity with GoSystem or Ultratax software is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and provide recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance when needed
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
