Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional for in-person service at a local tax office.

You will prepare complete tax returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to assess financial situations, and offer personalized recommendations with a focus on tax savings opportunities and HR Block products. You will provide IRS support, notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed, while collaborating with teammates to maintain a client-focused, supportive office

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience working in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.
• Must complete continuing education and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide tax savings opportunities and recommend HR Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive office environment.
