H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our in-person tax office team. You will work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building strong client relationships.

No prior tax experience is required as training and ongoing support are provided. You will earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you gain knowledge and proficiency, with peak periods offering additional hours.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent program.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
