H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guided support.

No prior tax experience is required, and you’ll earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows. Training starts day one and you’ll develop client-service skills while supporting office priorities through teamwork.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a client-friendly way.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
