Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions while building client relationships.

Training and support are provided from day one, with compensation at a competitive hourly rate. No prior tax experience is required, and you’ll earn opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows.

Qualifications

• Completion of customer-focused service in a role or environment.
• Clear, effective communication with clients and internal teammates.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
