Job summary

Hot Topic, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Key Holder in the Washington area to support the store leadership team in delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving sales.

You’ll train new staff, assist with daily operations, and help meet sales targets in a fast-paced pop culture retail environment. You will lead by example on the sales floor, participate in opening/closing routines, manage transactions, and communicate trends to management.

Qualifications

• Retail experience required.
• Strong customer service and selling skills.
• Capable of teamwork and supervising peers as needed.
• Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience and drive sales.
• Step in and support store operations when the manager is away.
• Move toward store KPIs like UPT and ADT.
• Assist with opening/closing the store and cover sales floor zones.
• Handle transactions, process sales, and manage cash in closeout procedures.
• Assist with planogram changes and merchandising layout.
• Communicate fashion and music trends to management and HQ partners.
• Ensure store security and prevent theft:**
• Keep stock room organized and store tidy.
• Train and coach new Sales Associates as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Store Leader
