Qualifications

• One year of snow and ice or related roadway maintenance experience.
• Education in Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance can substitute for experience.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with Tanker Endorsement and basic English literacy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain roadways for snow and ice control.
• Inspect and prepare winter equipment for service.
• Perform preseason route inspections and post-storm cleanup.
• Set up and transfer anti-icing/de-icing materials as needed.
• Install, repair, maintain, and remove snow fences and mailboxes.
• Document snow and ice data for inventory and resources.
• Set up traffic controls and notify dispatch of disabled vehicles.
