Job summary

Killington Pico Ski Resort is seeking Server Assistants who will deliver exceptional guest service, know resort amenities and events, and work with all departments to create a world-class experience for every guest.

You will perform professional table and banquet service, including wine/beverage service, menu knowledge, and POS usage, while maintaining a friendly, polished appearance and adhering to safety and allergen guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs.
• Ability to climb a full set of stairs with a full tray.
• Neat appearance and courteous demeanor.
• Aware of allergens in menu items.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests, and present with menus.
• Inform guests and accurately describe menu items.
• Offer friendly suggestions on food and beverage options to increase the guest’s experience.
• Know all beer, wine and liquor offerings, including special or reserve choices.
• Maintain safe work environment, by adhering to all Department of Liquor Control regulations: CHECK ID’S.
• Ability to manage steps of service to provide exceptional service to all guests in assigned section, while keeping section organized and fluid.
• Monitor food orders and assist as needed.
• Deliver ordered items to your guests accurately and in a fast, friendly manner.
• Resolve any guest issues immediately. Notify supervisors of all issues with guests.
• Assist in other areas of the restaurant as deemed necessary by supervisor.
• Maintain friendly and polite tone and demeanor at all times. ALWAYS THANK EVERY GUEST!
• Maintaining clean and organized work areas
• Exceed company standards for personal appearance
• Remaining flexible, efficient and helpful in assisting other servers, bartenders, support staff, and supervisors in the restaurant or banquet event
• Be respectful of all supervisory staff, co-workers, culinary staff, guests, and fellow Killington Resort employees at all times
