Job summary

Killington Pico Ski Resort is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join the culinary team in a full-time seasonal capacity. You will prepare soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other items, while maintaining high hygiene standards and assisting with snow removal as needed.

You will work with a small team in a high-volume, resort setting, with opportunities for employee benefits including a season pass for yourself and dependents and access to various discount programs.

Qualifications

• One year cooking experience in a high-end restaurant, resort or private club environment.
• Excellent kitchen knowledge and ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong organization and active listening skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-volume outlet.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Strong hospitality standards and teamwork values.
• Food safety certification is highly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations.
• Prepare foods including cleaning, cutting ingredients, cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, grab-and-go items, and snacks.
• Plate prepared foods according to chefs’ directions.
• Coordinate with servers to ensure orders are prepared correctly and on time.
• Wash and clean the kitchen and utensils; organize kitchen/restaurant items.
• Maintain hygiene standards in line with food safety regulations.
• Be ready to assist a small team on different stations as needed.
• Complete daily prep lists and temperature logs.
• Assist with snow removal as needed and support other tasks for restaurant success.
