Job summary

Michaels Stores is hiring for a store team member in Frederick, MD. You will assist customers, locate products, and deliver a fast checkout experience while handling cash to standards.

Responsibilities include contributing to in-store recovery, stocking, and POS transactions, plus supporting omnichannel processes like BOPIS and SFS. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred and flexibility for various shifts is common.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Comfort with cash handling and basic POS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns/go-backs
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; maintain professional conduct
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
