Job summary

Michaels is seeking a store team member in Westminster, MD to deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in locating products, and ensure a fast, accurate checkout experience. You’ll participate in stock, planograms, and omnichannel processes while supporting store recovery and security programs.

This role requires standing for long periods and weekend/evening shifts. Applicants must be at least sixteen, with a background in retail or customer service preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the rewards program and private label credit cards and enroll them
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns/go back
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; promote vision and values
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
