Job summary

Michaels in Emeryville, CA is hiring for a store associate to help customers, guide product discovery, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience. You will unload trucks, stock merchandise, maintain planos, and participate in store recovery to keep aisles well-merchandised.

Preferred candidates have retail or customer service experience, can stand long hours, and participate in omnichannel processes like BOPIS and SFS.

Qualifications

Retail or customer service experience preferred.
Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
Comfort with crossing trained in framing sales is not essential but experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
Provide fast and friendly checkout experience and handle cash to standards.
Encourage enrollment in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card.
Advise on Voice of Customer (VOC) surveys and collect feedback.
Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
Maintain store recovery and in-stock conditions; manage returns and go-backs.
Support Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties.
Assist shrink and safety programs; follow SOPs and company policies.
Interact professionally with customers and act as a role model for team members.
Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
