Job summary

Michaels in San Rafael, CA is seeking a store associate to provide friendly customer service, help shoppers locate products, and ensure a fast, accurate checkout experience. You will participate in unloading trucks, stocking, and maintaining planograms to keep the store well merchandised and in stock.

You will engage customers about rewards and private label credit cards, support omni-channel processes (BOPIS and SFS), help with store recovery, and uphold SOPs while modeling a positive team

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn store systems and policies.
• Friendly and fast checkout experience.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns/go back processes.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; act as a positive role model.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
