Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Team Member for our Danville, VA location. You will assist customers, help them find products, and ensure a quick checkout experience.

You will also support receiving and stocking, layout optimization, and store recovery to keep the sales floor well-merchandised. Responsibilities include engaging customers in the Rewards program, completing enrollments, and assisting with omnichannel tasks (BOPIS/SFS).

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Unload trucks, stock, and merchandise responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; cash handling to standards
• Promote Michaels Rewards and Private Label Credit Card enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with BOPIS and Ship From Store processes
• Participate in truck unload, stocking and planogram (POG) duties
• Maintain in-stock store through recovery, returns, and go-backs
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Follow SOPs and company policies; uphold store standards
• Interact professionally; embody Michaels values and be a role model
• Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production
