Job summary

Michaels in Hampton, VA is hiring a store team member to help customers find products, provide friendly service, and ensure a quick checkout. You will assist with in-store merchandising, participate in omni-channel processes, and support loss prevention and store standards.

This role requires standing, walking, and light lifting. The position may involve nights, weekends and early mornings with benefits including employee discounts and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Public retail store setting and SOP adherence.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform light lifting.

Responsibilities

• Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Promote Michaels Rewards and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Educate customers on VOC surveys.
• Assist with BOPIS and Ship From Store processes.
• Participate in stock, planograms, and merchandise recovery.
• Support shrink and safety programs; follow SOPs and company policies.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
