Job summary

Michaels Stores in Bakersfield, CA is hiring a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers locate products, and process checkout transactions.

You will participate in store operations including stocking, truck unloading, and maintaining Merchandising standards, while promoting the Michaels Rewards program and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all guests. The role may require standing for long periods and working nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Responsible for merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns and store recovery to stay well-merchandised and in-stock.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Interact positively with others and project a professional image as a role model.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
