Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Team Member in Alexandria, LA to deliver outstanding customer service and assist shoppers with finding products. You will handle fast, friendly checkouts, participate in unloading, stocking, and planograms, and engage customers in Rewards and credit card programs.

This role involves standing for long periods, lifting boxes, and working nights/weeks as needed. Michaels offers benefits and employee discounts to eligible team members.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop our store, and find what they're looking for.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience with cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Maintain in-stock store and complete merchandise recovery and return/go back processes.
• Support Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; interact respectfully and professionally with customers and team members.
