Job summary

Michaels Stores in Alexandria, VA is looking for a friendly store associate to help customers find products, answer questions, and provide quick checkout service. You will assist with truck unloading, stocking, and maintaining shelves to ensure a well-merchandised, in-stock store.

You’ll promote the Michaels Rewards program and participate in omni-channel tasks like Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to maneuver stock and lift boxes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Will ingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout with accurate cash handling.
• Enroll customers in the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer survey.
• Support Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes.
• Assist with truck unload, stocking, and planogram compliance.
• Maintain in-stock merchandise and perform store recovery.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; be a positive role model.
• Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.
