Job summary

Michaels Stores in Gresham, OR, is seeking a store team member to deliver friendly customer service, help customers locate products, and maintain a well-merchandised, in-stock store. You will assist with truck unloading, stocking, and POS duties to ensure fast checkout and customer satisfaction.

The role involves engaging customers in rewards programs, supporting BOPIS/SFS processes, and adhering to SOPs while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for shoppers and team members alike.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and operate POS.
• Comfort with omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS)

Responsibilities

• Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout with cash handling to standards.
• Enrol customers in the Michaels Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) duties.
• Maintain merchandise recovery and in-stock store conditions; complete returns/go backs.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs; follow SOPs and company policies.
• Interact professionally with customers; be a role model and promote company values.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
