Summit Health is seeking a full-time seasonal Medical Receptionist for CityMD locations in New Jersey. You will greet patients, register them, and coordinate with the team to ensure timely service. Excellent communication and multitasking are essential for this role.

Responsibilities include patient intake, insurance verification, and maintaining accurate records. The role offers a starting pay of $18.25 per hour with benefits through VillageMD programs and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service environments preferred (hospitality, restaurant, medical office, or retail).
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Computer proficiency with typing ~55 wpm.
• Flexible/adaptable in a evolving environment.
• Bilingual skills may be required depending on site location.
• Ability to interact with physicians, patients, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients.
• Coordinating patient intake and appointments.
• Accurately enter/update patient information in system.
• Assist patients with completing paperwork.
• Scan, update, and file medical records.
• Answer phone calls promptly and politely.
• Process medical insurance information and verify eligibility.
• Handle cash and co-payments accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to patients.
• Inform site management of wait times and inquiries.
