Job summary

Supply-chain in Memphis, TN seeks a Seasonal Operations Supervisor for first shift to lead daily and weekly operations during peak season. You will supervise and develop the workforce, implement process improvements, and ensure safety and policy compliance in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate staffing, tools, and resources to meet customer and site requirements, while collaborating with regional sites on best practices and productivity gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years logistics industry experience preferred.
• 0–3 years experience in lead/supervisor/management role.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment.
• Provide tools and inspect equipment for associates.
• Improve productivity by optimizing processes and staff efficiency.
• Collaborate with regional sites on safety, labor sharing and best practices.
• Plan and adjust daily workload and staffing to minimize unplanned overtime.
• Ensure workload planning and volume forecasting routines are performed.
• Communicate and enforce company policies (safety, accounting, operations, regulation).
• Evaluate performance variances and identify root causes for corrective action.
• Communicate Standard Operating Procedures and manage preshift hand-offs.
• Maintain professional relations with external customers and vendors.
• Execute daily customer/vendor contract requirements and document accessorial activities.
• Ensure inventory integrity: receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory control.
• Collect performance measurements aligned with customer/vendor/site requirements.
