Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a full-time seasonal Scribe to accurately document patient visits in the EMR and support physicians with basic care in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

The Scribe will help manage patient flow, labs, and compliance with DOH regulations, while delivering exceptional patient service. This role is great for CNA, MA, EMT, or Paramedic career paths and offers exposure to healthcare operations.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED; an undergraduate degree is a plus.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time work schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• English language (speaking and writing) required.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits into the EMR in a timely manner.
• Assist the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Assist site management with directing patient flow, inventory, and following up on labs.
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH Regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients while following protocols.
