Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a seasonal Scribe to document patient visits in the EMR, assist physicians with basic care, and help manage patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting. This role supports DOH-compliant labs, inventory, and lab follow-ups, with a focus on compassionate patient service.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, strong English communication, and flexibility to work full-time including weekends. BLS certification is preferred at hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, college coursework is a plus.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication.
• Willingness to work a full-time schedule including weekends.
• Strong written and verbal English skills.
• Bilingual abilities preferred based on site location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred/required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits in the EMR.
• Assist physician with basic patient care and simple medical procedures.
• Help manage patient flow, inventory, and follow-up on labs.
• Ensure DOH compliance for site labs and exam rooms.
• Provide compassionate patient service and maintain a clean, professional environment.
