Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a seasonal Scribe to accurately document patient visits in the EMR and assist physicians with basic care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role supports site management with patient flow, inventory, and lab follow-ups while ensuring DOH compliance and top-quality patient service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine compassion for patients.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED, Undergraduate degree a plus
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• English language skills required
• High attention to detail.
• Must show passion for outstanding results and compassion.
• Team player.
• Knowledge of third-party payor requirements preferred.
• Strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills.
• Computer Proficiency
• Positive attitude and adaptability in evolving environments.
• Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on-site location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits in the EMR.
• Assist the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Assist site management with patient flow, inventory and lab follow-ups.
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service while following protocols and managing high volume.
